Happy early birthday to cousin Staci and belated birthday wishes to the Moo - we have had a busy weekend of celebrating her turning six, including dinner at her favorite restaurant and playing with her absolute favorite gift, a rock collection from Grandma and Grandpa. She also has a ton of birthday money from her very generous relatives to spend this coming week -- thanks so much for all who sent cards and well wishes!! She was thrilled to receive all of them! I asked her what the difference between being five and being six is, and she said "nothing," which did not leave me with much blog post material!
Some odds and ends about the Moo and Bean:
- On Monday, the Moo goes to the doctor and I believe will be getting shots. Please pray that we can through it this year with fewer than four nurses having to hold her down.
- The Moo says "suspiciously" when she means "specifically" ("I suspiciously asked her to bring me a fruit bunch and she brought me tomato juice.") and I enjoy it too much to correct her.
- The Bean pronounces "th" as "st." Today, I found her in her room with the door shut. I opened the door and asked her "Why are you all alone? What are you doing in here?" She replied (to quote her phonetically) "Stinking. This is my stinking place."
