The Bean asked me tonight if I was a tough chick. I said, sometimes, if someone is mean to my little ones, I can be a tough chick. She thought about it and then asked, "Is Daddy a tough chick?" The Moo immediately said, "Bean, chick is another word for girl, so Daddy can't be a tough chick." The Bean mulled that over and asked, "Is Daddy a tough chicken?"
We love this kind of reasoning....Hurray for Molly for being so sharp and to Hannah for exploring all the options. These skills will serve them both well in the future. They are their mother's daughters!
