We are back from Disney safe and sound, if somewhat exhausted. We had a great time, and will try to get all of the pictures up expeditiously but please bear with us as we are exhausted. The first day we arrived at Shades of Green in the late afternoon, so we decided to just spend that day just swimming in the pool and getting ready for the week ahead.
The girls have been coming to this hotel -- a military facility -- every year for the past three years, and have fond memories of it.
After dropping everything off in our room me met the welcoming committee at the pond directly outside our patio. The girls named her Bella and were very excited to see her, although she did not betray any signs of being happy to see us! We have joked about the 
"beware of alligators" signs all over the resort before, but have never actually seen one, so this was a big occasion. Plus, it was an omen of the role wildlife was going to play as a major part of our trip in the days to come!
